Their services are within the Bon Secours Charity Health System, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network and available at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
Michelle Becker, Jessica Mitchell, Leah Vereschagin and Kathryn Ryans can now provide lymphedema therapy for Access patients.
“I became a certified lymphedema specialist not only because I love helping others, but also because it makes it more convenient for patients to get the help they needed closer to home,” said Becker.
Lymphedema is the abnormal accumulation of high-protein lymph beneath the skin, resulting in swelling or edema. Specialists focus on reducing physical and psychological suffering, restoring function, education and the prevention of infections.
